Room 237 - review

This is a really good erotica story. This was released originally as three romance novellas. I'm so so happy to read all three in one story.

A year after splitting up with her boyfriend Laney still hasn't found anyone else or had sex. Her best friend coaxs her into going to The Club. Lainey has no idea what The Club is about.

What happens when Laney is invited to Room 237 by a stranger?? If your looking for a really good hot story then I recommend this.

Room 237 Series by Emma Payne

**Warning: This book contains graphic scenes, language, and sexual content. Not recommended for readers under the age of 18.

One year after leaving her cheating boyfriend, Laney Holden still can’t seem to catch a break with men. After a year of blind dates that go nowhere, she grows jaded against the male race, even with the choice men at work. When her best friend comes up with a new plan for her love life, Laney follows along, hoping to find something different. What waits for her behind the door of room 237, however, is nothing like she ever expected.

Room 237 contains all three novellas in the Room 237 Series under one cover: The Club, Tighter Binds, and Unmasked.

Author Bio:

I love to write and read and usually do little of anything else. The Room 237 Series is a trilogy of books that are currently available exclusively on Amazon. The contemporary romance/erotica series consists of three books (in order): The Club, Tighter Binds, and Unmasked. I'm currently working on my next projects.

On a personal note, I devour books at an alarming rate. I just can't get enough of a steamy romance with a great set of abs on the front cover!

Ransom - review

Do you ever find yourself loving a book and then thinking it's so wrong to like it? Well that was me after reading this. Attraction between a hostage and a kidnapper. Really? Heck yes and that's why I read fiction.

After being fired from his dream job for something he didn't do Lynkin is so angry that he ends up kidnapping his bosses daughter, Sage. Spending time together they both feel an attraction. With twists and turns I found this to be a really good page turner for me. I'll certainly be re-reading it. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

Desperate, careless, frantic, hieness, and frenzied. These are just some of the words that could describe my state of being after everything was ripped from under me. Stripped - review

Love love love this story.

At 19, Kylies husband abandons her and their baby. Left alone and without any support she finds herself working two jobs to try and make ends meet. Working as a stripper she meets Evan. He's deliciously hot and rich. The chemistry between these two is sizzling hot. Lots of drama and family issues had me gripped. Both exes showing up doesn't help their relationship.

Brilliant standalone read that I highly recommend.

Guarded Heart - review

Loved this book. Each time I read a book by this author I love her writing even more.

Sams heart is totally broke by her fiancée days before her wedding. Devastated and heartbroken she doubts she can let anyone into her heart again. That is until she meets Wes. This is their story. What a great story it is.

I highly recommend this story. Actually go grab any of this authors books. You won't regret it.

An Endless Love - review

After reading A Forbidden Love I was so looking forward to reading this book. The author didn't disappoint me as I loved it.

This story starts where book one ended. I'm not going to recap in case you haven't read book one. I will say my heart broke for Alecia. This is a fast-paced story full of drama. Great twists and turns. Sucked in from the beginning I felt as if I was holding my breath during this read.

Who will Alecia choose?? You need to 1-click to find out. This is a really great read. I suggest you read A Forbidden Love first.

An Endless Love - blog tour

Have you ever felt broken? It feels like a part of you would never be complete again-like it would never heal. Jake Shaw is a bad man, an obsessed and deranged psychotic being who deserves to be locked underneath the walls of the cell he’s rotting in. The beating he received from Allan wasn’t enough and Alecia hopes he gets what’s coming to him. She didn’t ask for this, but he broke her, something she never thought would be possible.

Allan had a secret, an ‘addiction’ so to speak. He was in pain and didn’t have the balls to admit it. The one girl he allowed to get close to him was assaulted by his own brother and Allan beat his ass within an inch of his life. He went through a lot to hide the excruciating pain he endured everyday and his secret was about to be exposed. His life was spiraling out of control.

Could they hold on to the pieces long enough to mend their broken hearts? Or was it impossible?

House of Stone - review

I've had the privilege of reading this already & it's brilliant.

“The test of life is not meant to break you, but to make you stronger….” Four powerful childhood friendships become twisted with lies and deceit after they leave Bishop Street Orphanage. Twenty years later, the four orphans are back together. Maggie is a best-selling author. Elizabeth is a farmer’s wife in North Bend, South Dakota.  Randolph the billionaire is a wandering nomad. Lucy is finally clean and sober, raising her daughter, after twenty years of living on the streets.

Challenging themselves to let go of the past, and still fused together by the immeasurable power of friendship; Maggie, Elizabeth, Lucy and Randolph are back together again after twenty years of separation.

From the large and diverse city of Los Angeles, to the open spaces of North Dakota, into the small towns of Mexico, and onto the disheartening streets of Honduras—new obstacles become more complicated and unpredictable then they could ever imagine. Unexpected love, a devastating flood, a major earthquake, threatens their future, as lives are lost, and their worst fears will test their strength of survival, once again!

About the Author

My name is Rene D. Schultz and I’m an Indie author who has four published books-BISHOP STREET, DONE DEAL, BROKEN IMAGE, and now the sequel to Bishop Street--  "HOUSE OF STONE." coming out in three weeks. I consider myself a ‘reality fiction’ author. It’s so confusing to many readers about the genres, myself included, so that is why I made up my own genre. My books don’t quite fit into contemporary, mainstream, chic-lit—although that is where they get pigeonholed!  I write about strong female characters who have real life obstacles and ultimately find a way to overcome them. The journeys are unique and emotional.

My main characters could be you, me—everyone can relate to them. My books are emotionally driven with humor, heartache, values, mystery and a smidgen of romance.

How the title 'HOUSE OF STONE' came about!

When I was a very young girl, I loved to lay under my bed and read nursery rhymes. There was one nursery rhyme that I would constantly think about as I was writing Bishop Street. The phrases used in the story, and the various morals that can be drawn from it, have become embedded in Western culture—‘The Three Little Pigs.’  It was a short story about three pigs who ventured out into the world, and each one wanted to build a house. The lazy pig built it out of straw. Another pig worked a little harder and built it out of sticks. The third pig took a lot of time to think about it, and with a great amount of effort he built it out of brick. One day, a mean old wolf came to eat the pigs. He blew the house of straw down, then he blew the house of sticks down, but he huffed and puffed and, could not blow the brick house down.

Bishop Street reminded me of that fable. Together, Maggie, Elizabeth, Lucy and Randolph became emotionally strong as they traveled through a difficult and tumultuous childhood. After they left the orphanage, they each became weakened by their daunting feelings of the past and each one had become emotionally shattered in their own way. Their houses were made of straw, until twenty years later, when they were finally reunited. Now, that they are finally back together, with a fierce commitment, a strong set of values, and a resilient sense of power… they have finally built their “House of Stone.”

A man looking for a new beginning

Hunter Donovan is a writer who dreamed of penning the great American novel but settled for a job running the family business, Donovan Books. Trapped publishing other people’s stories, Hunter buries his frustrations in vodka and an endless parade of one-night stands.

A woman with a secret

Cary Anderson is the perky, petite, and staunchly determined editor who is well versed in erotica fiction.  But Cary has a kinky side that she is struggling to keep hidden from the world.

Fed up with dwindling sales, Hunter hopes to breathe new life into his publishing house by breaking into the risqué world of erotica. He hires Cary to rescue his company and she is keen to show her new boss everything she knows. But what starts out as a lesson in sexual fiction turns into an unexpected roller coaster ride of disastrous romantic encounters. And just when Cary helps stir Hunter’s creative voice, he uncovers the truth about her wicked ways.

Some ties that bind can cut right to the heart in…The Bondage Club.

Teaser Image (attached)

The veil of evening was reaching across his office window when Hunter’s cell phone on the side of his desk rang. Checking the caller ID, he frowned when he saw that the number was blocked.

“This is Hunter Donovan,” he barked into the phone.
“Do you always answer the phone in such a cheerful manner?” a seductive female voice reprimanded.

“That depends on who this is.”

“Cary told me of your little meeting today, and your interest in my next book. You don’t waste any time do you?”

Hunter’s heart skipped a beat. “Well, well, Ms. Slut. Nice to hear your voice again. I hope your time at the Book Expo was worthwhile.”

“You were the highlight of my trip, Mr. Donovan.”

Hunter smiled as he sat back in his creaky desk chair. “I’m so glad. I was beginning to think you didn’t like me.”

“Have you ever met a woman who didn’t like you?”

The question made Hunter chuckle. “Which answer will get me your next book, Ms. Slut?”

A high-pitched tinkling laugh came through the speaker of his iPhone, making Hunter’s stomach flutter ever so lightly. “I like a man who doesn’t waste time with sweet talk. Check your email. I just sent you the manuscript. It’s called The Bondage Club, and if you’re interested, e-mail me a contract, and I will look it over.”

“Can I ask what it’s about? I mean, with a title like that I can guess, but….” His voice faded as his curiosity rose.

“There are many different kinds of bondage, Mr. Donovan, that don’t involve ropes, chains, or even handcuffs.”

Hunter gaped at his cell phone. “I don’t get it.”

“Love can be a form of bondage,” she explained. “We can get tied to someone just as easily as we can be tied up by someone. The book is about bondage in all of its forms.”

“Then I look forward to reading it.” He paused as he thought of an idea. “But why not come to my office? We can discuss the details of the contract over lunch,” he pursued with a hint of insistence in his voice.

“I don’t think so. Lunch with you would be dangerous.”

Hunter coyly smiled. “For which one of us, Ms. Slut?”

“I’m not your type, Mr. Donovan.”

Hunter’s body rippled with the hint of a challenge. “You never know; if Donovan Books handles your novel, we may grow on each other.”

“I hope not. Getting involved with the man who publishes my book would complicate matters. I’m also a very demanding author. I might get on your nerves after a time.”

“I have a lot of demanding authors. You would fit right in.”

“Do you usually try and date your authors, or will I be the first?”

He fingered a corner of the manuscript open on the desk before him as his imagination began to wander. “You would be the first. I never date clients.”

“I heard a nasty little rumor to the contrary, about your brother and Monique Delome. They were engaged and then she up and married some Texas oil man. Lucky girl.”

“Lucky to be rid of my brother,” Hunter returned, pushing the manuscript in front of him to the side.

“Oh, do I detect a note of sibling rivalry, Mr. Donovan?”

He leaned back in his chair and turned his eyes to his arched window. “Rivalry, nah. More like deep-seated hatred. And if I’m going to bare my soul to you, you should start calling me, Hunter.”

“Let me guess, Hunter.” Her voice was throaty and delicious, spurring on his desire. “He stole your Legos when you were six and you have never forgiven him.”

Hunter ran his hand over his face, feeling the conversation was getting a little too personal. “Never mind my brother. Let’s talk about you.”

“I make it a practice never to talk about myself. The less people know about me, the better.”

“I don’t agree, Ms. Sl….” Hunter crinkled his brow. “What else can I call you? Ms. Slut is too—”

“Call me Smuttie, if you like.”

“Smuttie…don’t you have a real name?”

“Smuttie is all you need to know.” The sound of voices in the background broke in. “Let me know what you think of my manuscript, Hunter. I’ll be waiting to hear from you.” Then the line went dead.

Chloe is different. She has Asperger’s Syndrome, Bipolar Disorder and probably a few other inconvenient conditions as well. She’s a quirky, resourceful and clever psychology student, but her world is literally about to be shaken apart. A devastating earthquake sparks a chain of events that spiral her life out of control. She’s off her meds. Her oddly-named cat is missing. She doesn’t know what she wants out of life any more. Misfortune and uncertainty don’t mix well with bundles of energy and Chloe’s tendency to ignore consequences. It’s as if mayhem and trouble are her constant companions.

Will Chloe be able to cope with the earth-shaking events that rock her world?

Kevin Berry is an indie author. His particular niche is writing Aspie New Adult contemporary novels set in an earthquake zone. The first of these is STIM, published in October 2013.
