Set against the rarely seen backdrop of the celebrated Cannes Film Festival, this is the journal which writer and film producer Lucy Major kept on her annual two-week journey through the south of France. She was days away from her 49th birthday as she left the home she shared with her parents for an adventure that would take her on a road trip from Barcelona to the vineyards outside Genova. She was both looking forward to and stressed out about the elite party she was throwing at the film festival in support of her latest film – which she was convinced was going to win one of the festival’s most prestigious awards. She didn’t know when she stepped on the flight to Barcelona that she was about to meet him and that this breathtakingly beautiful, much younger man with the inexplicably compelling presence was going to send her world spinning out of control – careening through this life and lives they had shared before.
