BLOG TOUR

Carrying Clover

Newly single Camille Robins luck is about to change as she embarks on a new chapter of her life, moving to the city near her best friend, Lizzie.

A chance meeting at Lou’s B&B, Camille meets George, a handsome man who sweeps her off her feet.

Can Lizzie forgive Camille for stealing her previous boyfriend, or will she seek revenge?

Camille can’t believe her luck! George can’t believe how perfect she is....

Was it a fate romance, or part of an evil plan?

A fresh new twist on a psychological thriller, fast-paced, clever, and thought provoking that will make you question who is the lucky one.

Luck, love, deceit, and heartbreak will keep you turning the page. And a breathtaking twist you won’t see coming, will stay with you long after you have finished reading.

MY REVIEW

This is the main reason I blog as this could easily have passed me by.

Carrying Clover is a great read. One of those ‘just another chapter’ kinda reads that I found myself sitting up until the wee hours to finish it.

This is one of those reads that I’m wary about talking about the storyline as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so I will just say if you enjoy psychological thrillers then I definitely recommend this gem.

Harley Hound & Red Spotted Ned- blog tour

BLOG TOUR

Harley Hound-

My granddaughter loves this story. It’s a great rhyming story. The illustrations are fabulous. We found ourselves chatting about the pictures while I read it to her. Think she has had every member of the family read this to her.

As this was sitting on my coffee table my friends daughter came over. She’s eight and couldn’t resist reading both of these books.

Red Spotted Ned- excellent rhyming story that we thoroughly enjoyed. I’ve read this to my younger grandchildren and they love it.

My friends daughter read this. She’s eight and loved it also.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR -

For as long as he can remember, Chris has had a huge passion for storytelling. When his son was a young boy, instead of reading bedtime stories, they would make up their own far-fetched tales around the fictional superhero Deadly Derek. In fact, this has remained his main Google account name ever since, which means that upon joining Zoom calls, his name appears as "Deadly Derek" - much to the amusement of his network!

So far in 2021, he has published three children’s rhyming picture books, with two more on the way. His stories combine humour with beautifully crafted rhyming verse that challenge young readers using subtle alliteration and powerful vocabulary.  He believes that children’s stories should have a positive moral without preaching or being overly serious. The result are joyous stories that will captivate and educate in equal measure.

Amazon Reader Reviews

***** One of The Darkest Stories I have ever read ..Pitch Dark Storytelling

***** What an astonishing first thriller!

***** It's weird and gory, but keeps you wanting more

***** OMFG this book….where do I begin! It is dark and disturbing and will most certainly make you squirm.

You could be sitting next to him in a pub. You’d never notice him. But he would see you.

None of his victims had ever noticed him, sitting there, glancing occasionally at them. Even if they had, they would have seen no cause for alarm.

Bland. Uninteresting. A civil servant going home to his equally bland wife and children at the end of another working day.

Anonymous. Invisible. Faceless.

That’s what they had all thought. But they were all wrong.

Now only the ever-growing spinney of trees bears testimony that they had once existed.

Is hard-bitten ex-Military Police captain, Detective Inspector Oscar Smith up to the task of tracking him down?

And as you turn the pages to meet the killer, will you ever find sleep again?

MY REVIEW

Debut novel?? Wow I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next if this is his first novel.

DI Oscar Smith will do whatever means possible to get results. Although I can see how he can be a very unlikeable character he had a nice side too.

I absolutely love dark stories so I totally loved this. It was well written but had me squirming in my seat at times and not in a good way.

A well written dark and disturbing read that I’ll certainly be recommending.
