A bad man once broke me, leaving me trapped in a cage built out of my own shame. Shackled to the bars of the past.

Afraid. Lonely. Unable to move on.

Then, I met him.

Beautiful, intense, and stuck in a cage of his own. He makes me want to live again. I want to save him. I want him to save me.

But good guys don’t like ruined girls. And even if he did, would I have the courage to break free, and learn to fly again?

For him?

𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗼

A sad woman once broke me, leaving a crater in my chest I’ll never fill again.

Hollow.

Crippled by past mistakes and present fears.

Then, I met her.

Enchanting, stunning, and in pain. I want to love her. I want her to love me.

But she doesn’t deserve to fall into the abyss of my broken soul. I should stay away and yet, I can’t let her go. Am I strong enough to become a better man?

MY REVIEW

A debut novel. Really? Wow after reading this I’m hoping the author plans to write loads more as this was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading I was hooked. This storyline is addictive.

Arabel and Lorenzo brought so many emotions out of me. Their story is intense and full of feelings.

This is a beautiful well written story that will stay with me for a long time. There are triggers so may not be for everyone.

Can’t wait to read more from this author.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Alessandra Vitale is an author that hates to talk about herself in third person so…

Hey! I’m Alessandra. I love to write and can’t imagine life without pouring my heart and soul onto a page, physical or digital. I graduated with a degree in psychology that I didn’t use for long but that now helps me write emotional, healing stories. A few years ago, I met my parents’ neighbor, and within days I knew he was the one. We now live by The Blue Ridge Parkway with our little girl Ella, our dog Rex, and two adorable (albeit loud) Australian budgies. Oh, and about a dozen crazy chickens. I love aerial dance, music, and baking. I’m obsessed with the British band Muse, which I force my family to listen to often (but it’s okay because I bake for them all the time). When I'm not writing, I'm enjoying the beauty of our forty-acre wood, reading, talking with my friends about books, and hanging out with my husband and little human.

And now Susan is back. And she’s determined to reclaim everything she feels Sarah has taken from her.

Her home, her husband…her life?

MY REVIEW

The Twins is a well written story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Sarah and Susan are identical twins- always be together. Well so they thought until they met Jonny. He must choose between them. He has a daughter with the one he chooses. When the other twin turns up many years later everything will change again.

This is a cleverly written story.

Although I was sometimes confused with the different timelines and similar names I was glued to this story.

I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Who can you really trust?

Beth couldn’t be happier. She is eight weeks pregnant and married to the man of her dreams. But after returning home from a celebratory meal, she finds a wreath from her sister’s grave hanging above the bed and a kitchen knife embedded in her pillow. There are no signs of a forced entry. Nothing is stolen. And no one other than the cleaner has a key to the house.

Then a campaign of terror begins. Beth becomes increasingly paranoid as it becomes clear that someone close to the family is behind these disturbing events.

But who would want Beth dead?

Does the past hold the clue?

And can Beth find the answer before it’s too late?

Torment is a story of misplaced loyalty, revenge and sacrifice.

 MY REVIEW

This is another fantastic read by this author. I was literally gripped from start to finish.

Beth is pregnant and happily married. When she returns home after a meal her life is about to change and not in a good way.

A campaign of terror begins on Beth as she doesn’t know who to trust or believe.

Who is out to get her and why?

A brilliant read with some great twists and turns. Although I predicted some there was other twists that had me mentally high fiving the author

MY REVIEW

This is book three in the DI Barton series. Although this can be read as a stand-alone this is a great series so I highly recommend you go read the previous books and read more of Barton.

I really like Barton and his team. This story is fast paced as the team are on the search for the killer.

I can’t praise this author highly enough. I picked my kindle up to read a chapter or two and next thing I know I’ve finished reading it in the early hours of the morning. This author has a way with words that has me gripped from start to finish. Really hoping this isn’t the end of Barton :).

MY REVIEW

This is another excellent read from this author.

Kate is happily married to James. When she finds out she is pregnant at forty five years old it’s not what she wants. She also has a secret. When her ex turns up blackmailing her she is terrified her secret will be revealed.

This is a well written story that I read in one afternoon... I just had to keep reading to see what was gonna happen next.

Fifteen Coffins - new release

NEW RELEASE

Book Description:

From the bestselling author of the DI Bliss series comes an enthralling mystery thriller.

The truth can set you free – or bury you.

When FBI Agent Sydney Merlot returns to her home town in northern California to wind down her late father’s PI business, she soon finds herself on the wrong side of the aftermath of a high school shooting.

Sydney’s childhood friend – who is now county sheriff – plus the local PD, the mayor’s office, and most of the town’s inhabitants, are convinced the horror ended when the gunman was killed. Now they just want to be left alone to mourn. But Sydney has other ideas – and she is not alone.

While having to work through her own personal grief, Sydney is openly intimidated and receives anonymous threats. After discovering she is under surveillance, she begins to fear for her life. During her investigation she gains several allies, but as the days pass, Sydney doesn’t know who to trust, and which new friends might actually turn out to be foes...

MY REVIEW

I absolutely love this authors stories especially featuring DI Bliss. I will admit I was worried that this wouldn’t meet my expectations the way Bliss does. However Mr. Forder you have exceeded my expectations and more.

I’m really hoping there will be plenty more of Sydney Merlot. She is a brilliant and very likeable character.

The author does what he does best by grabbing my attention and not letting go throughout the story. The twists and turns were brilliant and totally unexpected.

Another fantastic storyline from this author. I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Shallow River - new release

NEW RELEASE

Shallow River, a Dark Thriller Standalone Romance, by H.D. Carlton is now LIVE!

Title: Shallow River

Author: H.D. Carlton

Release Date: November 1st

Genre:  Dark Romance. Thriller

 Cover Designer - Chris Schade

Blurb:

Shallow Hill is where souls suffer slow and miserable deaths.

When River McAllister escaped from Shallow Hill, she left her innocence behind--and some of her sanity, too. Now she's rebuilding her life with her dream man and life couldn't be better.

Ryan Fitzgerald is everything you'd want in a man. Attractive, rich, an aspiring lawyer, and would do anything to keep River. But that's not the only thing that attracts her. It's his attentiveness, his possessiveness... maybe not so much his temper.

When her relationship takes a dark turn, Ryan's estranged brother, Mako, is the only one who sees it. He knows exactly what Ryan is capable of, and it's not the first time he had to be a knight in shining armor.

River came from Shallow Hill, though. She's never needed saving before. What Mako doesn't see is that River is perfectly capable of taking care of herself.

The only one who should be scared is Ryan.

MY REVIEW.

Oh my dayz. I have no words. How can I possibly review a book that literally consumed me from start to finish. When I wasn’t reading this (yes life happens and I had to put my kindle down) I was thinking about the book. I even synced it to my kindle app on phone and read pages when I could.

What genre is this?? I’m not sure. Is mess with your head a genre? I highly recommend you jump into this blind.

It’s so so good and will definitely be a top favourite of mine this year (and I’ve read plenty). What’s the story about? I’m not gonna rehash the story. Just jump in and get lost in these lives, these words.

I really hope this author writes more like this.

Oh I will say River is an amazing character. I want to be her friend :)

Author Bio:

H. D. Carlton grew up in a small town in Ohio. She suffers by the hands of Mother Nature cursing the area with all four seasons in the span of a week. By day, she does boring adult stuff, by night, she’s putting her imagination into words as her cat climbs all over her. She published a few poems back in her days, but now she is devoted to turning poetry into stories. Stories that feature wicked worlds and the worst kind of villains that don’t talk about themselves in third person.
