Beautiful Pain - my review

Oh wow I'm speechless. I've just finished this book and it literally blew my mind. If I'm honest I was just expecting a boy meet girl kinda read. As I jumped into this book without reading the synopsis this book was a right shocker for me in a good way. I was literally gripped from start to finish. Apart from stopping to make dinner I had to read this in one sitting.

Matteo and Mae are two broken souls. Damaged from their horrific past they both don't have any hope of happiness. What's it like to feel unloved? To never laugh or smile? Then fate intervenes and they meet each other. Are they too damaged to heal? Can they be open and trust each other?

This book is an emotional roller coaster. The author wrote it in such a way that I felt these characters pain. I found myself holding my breath and gasping throughout.

I've got to admit that only for a blogger friend advised me not to I'd have jumped ahead and read the end. I felt as if my heart couldn't take any more. However after she talked me off that ledge I continued on. Then I needed her hand to hold towards the end. If you follow my reviews you know these feelings are rare for me.

Have I mentioned I literally screamed at my partner when he tried talking to me while reading this. I was nearing the end and needed peace so yes I ranted at him for peace and quiet lol

Make sure you read the warnings from the author first as this book contains triggers.

I've not read anything else by this author so I'm super happy she's got more books I can get my teeth into.

If your looking for a dark romance then I highly recommend this story.
