Blurb:
Hollywood is a temptress, a trickster, a soul-stealing devil. I married an A-list player, knowing I come second place to his craft. But Lucas and I are a golden couple, a modern-day fairy tale.

I’ve never doubted what we built...until the sudden death of Lucas’s best friend has scandal rocking the Hills and shaking the foundation of our relationship.

I chose Lucas as my safe haven...he chose the role of a lifetime.
For the next three months, I’ll share my nights with a stranger, watching as he buries his pain, immersed in his role and living as someone else.

We’ve done this before. I tell myself it’s just another movie, and he’ll return to me.

I should’ve known this time would be different.

To get my husband back, I’ll need the strength of ten men.

As it turns out, I’ll have to go through two.

MY REVIEW

I’ve only read one other book by this author. I’ve seen friends praise this authors writing so I really need to go and read her other books.

If your looking for a unique and complexed read then this could be the one for you. Written real well this is a captivating and interesting story about Lucas and Mila.
Personally it wasn’t a one sitting read as it was a kinda heavy read which isn’t a bad thing. It just had me reading a little slower and absorbing each word.

This is definitely an author to keep an eye out for. She has written a book that will have your emotions all over the place. Expect the unexpected with this author. I highly recommend this amazing read.

MY REVIEW

This is book two in A Modern Fairy Tale Duet. Book one Beauty and the Professor is a must read before you read this one.

After reading book one I had high expectations for this story as book one was epic and I wanted more. I wasn’t disappointed as I loved every single word of this story.

Blake and Erin’s story continues. Both don’t feel worthy of each other but don’t want to let go. As they move forward their past creeps up on them.

Perfect ending to this duet. I seriously can’t wait to read more from this author. Each book I read from her I feel it’s her best yet and I hope that keeps continuing. Go read this fabulous duet.

Review: The Heart Keeper

The Heart Keeper The Heart Keeper by Alex Dahl
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After reading this fabulous read I’m gonna go back and read the authors previous book The Boy at the Door as I’ve heard great things about that one too.

I’ve not read many books about organ donation so after reading the blurb I was looking forward to reading it. I wasn’t disappointed as I loved this story.

This is a raw and an emotional story that will pull on your heartstrings. The characters are strong, real and relatable which I loved. From start to finish the author takes you on a heart breaking story with highs and lows. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author in the future

Review: Him

Him Him by Clare Empson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well done to the author on her debut novel, a novel that will stay with people for quite a while.

The story is told through two points of view. Catherine and Lucian.

After a traumatic event Catherine has become mute. We don’t know what the event was until much later. While reading this I felt it was like one big puzzle... the more you read of it the more the pieces start coming together.

After reading the blurb I couldn’t wait to read this. I did think it was dragged out but I still enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Review: Not My Daughter

Not My Daughter Not My Daughter by Kate Hewitt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow what a story. This brought me back to before I had a kindle and I would search everywhere for a book like Jodi Picoult that would take my breath away. This sure did.

I started this on a sunny afternoon and I seriously didn’t move until I had finished the book. I was so engrossed in the amazing story telling that I didn’t feel the time passing.

I’m not going to go into the storyline as the blurb should be enough for you.

This is an emotional story where I felt the author pulled my heart apart. Not an easy read due to the difficult topics, but a story that needs to be told.

Without a doubt this will be one of my top reads this year and I’ll certainly be re reading it in the future.

MY REVIEW

Is this really a debut novel? Wow.

Ava and Jade are former friends , working in the same office and vying for the same promotion.

Will their lies and their past catch up with them and ruin any chances of a promotion?

This is a great read full of suspense. I read this pretty quickly as I just didn’t wanna put it down.
Well done to the author on her debut novel. I’m looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

Sleep - blog tour

BLOG TOUR

Sleep
All Anna wants is to be able to sleep. But crushing insomnia, terrifying night terrors and memories of that terrible night are making it impossible. If only she didn’t feel so guilty…

To escape her past, Anna takes a job at a hotel on the remote Scottish island of Rum, but when seven guests join her, what started as a retreat from the world turns into a deadly nightmare.

Each of the guests have a secret, but one of them is lying – about who they are and why they're on the island. There's a murderer staying in the Bay View hotel. And they've set their sights on Anna.

Seven strangers. Seven secrets. One deadly lie.

Someone’s going to sleep and never wake up…

The million-copy bestseller is back in her darkest, twistiest book to date. Read it if you dare!

MY REVIEW

I can’t believe this is my first read by this author. I really need to go back and read some more as this was a great read.

Anna needs to escape from her past so she ends up on a Scottish island working in a hotel. Can she really escape from her past though?

Along with Anna there are seven guests. Each with a secret.

A murderer on the island wants Anna.

Seven strangers. Seven secrets. One deadly lie.

This is a nail biting story that had me on the edge of my seat. Lots of twists and turns had me wanting to read faster to see what was going to happen next.
I’ll definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

Review: SIN

SIN SIN by Elena M. Reyes
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

I cannot believe I’m saying this but Sin is my first read by this author. I’m shocked. I absolutely loved this so I’ll be reading more from this author in the future.

Malcolm is a ruthless alpha male. He’s wealthy, sexy and I really liked him. He always gets what he wants and in this case he wants London.

This is a brilliant read. I stayed up until the wee hours to finish as I couldn’t put it down. If your looking for a well written gritty and intense read I highly recommend you read this gem.
I’m off to add this authors previous books to my wish list.

MY REVIEW

I read this a few weeks ago and I still haven’t got the words for the review but I better write something lol don’t get me wrong- this is a great read but it’s a heavy read.
I didn’t speed through this like I normally do. That is in no way a negative- it’s one of those books that had me thinking.

The author did a great job of writing such a compelling and interesting read. The characters are so different they will bring all sorts of emotions out of the readers.

Picture of Innocence is a fabulous read that gripped my attention from start to finish. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Vengeful Eyes is A Cane Novel Book 3. Make sure you read the previous books first. They are a must read.

This is Benjamin and Hopes story and what a story it is with a mutual arrangement that suits them both.

This story is intense and oh so good. I’m sure I held my breath more times than was healthy.

A fantastic series from this talented duo. I’m looking forward to reading more from them in the future.

MY REVIEW

This book is part of the Cavalieri Della Morte series and I am absolutely loving the series.

This is Kay’s story. A hit gone wrong. Is he being framed or has someone messed up?

A wrong turn has Evelyn in his grasp. How far will he go though.

Loved these two characters. While reading this my mind was trying to jump forward to see how it would end but I certainly kept jumping to the wrong conclusions.

We get some Mafia thrown in which I liked.

I read this in one sitting. It’s a quick read but an oh so good read. Although I could rant that I wanted the story longer ( believe me if it was longer I’d have inhaled it too) I thought this was perfect.

This is a new to me author but I’ll certainly be reading more from her in the future. Can’t wait to read more of this series.
