--- Taken. Prized. Possessed. Loved. ---

Clover is an orphan and has led a tough and chaotic life. No stability. No money. No friends. He trusts no one.

His already miserable life takes a nosedive when he ends up in the hands of a human trafficking gang. Someone has placed a request for a young albino man, and Clover is to become the property of a mysterious buyer who will stop at nothing to satisfy their depraved desire. Clover’s fate seems sealed until four bounty hunters appear to take out his captors and accidentally save him.

The four mercenaries want to move on, but when Clover pleads for protection, they offer it to him at a price. In the beginning, the arrangement is all kinds of shady, but as he gets to know the four men who’ve taken him on a wild ride, his developing feelings might become as dangerous as the elusive buyer.

But can a relationship with four such different men even work? Men who kill for a living? Men so full of contradictions?

Tank. The massive ex-soldier eager to be Clover’s Daddy.
Pyro. Wild, tattooed, with a filthy mouth and an itch for violence.
Boar. Ginger, bearded, a big teddy bear who can turn into a grizzly.
Drake. Dark and dangerous, with a tongue as sharp as his knives.

Can these men provide him with the love and security he craves? Or has Clover made the worst mistake of his life?

MY REVIEW

This story is all sorts of naughtiness and I absolutely loved it.

Drake. Dark and dangerous, with a tongue as sharp as his knives.

Four completely different alpha males. They are mercenaries and while on a job they find Clover.

When they meet Clover they don’t realise how much their lives are going to change forever. Clover is alone and vulnerable. His life is in danger. He asks for help by the four men.

I absolutely loved this story. All five men are totally different and very likeable. This was a quick read for me as I just couldn’t put it down. I’m looking forward to reading book two to see where it takes us.

Review: Deceit

Deceit Deceit by Ava Harrison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really need to read more from this author as this was a great read.

Deceit has two strong characters....Oliver and Addison.

Addison is a strong likeable character. She’s trying to move on after being hurt by an ex. Then she meets Olly. He’s an intriguing character.
The chemistry between them is hot.

How can a relationship built on lies and Deceit survive?

Deceit is a well written story told through two points of view. I enjoyed it.

THE FALLEN: GENESIS
(A Deadly Virtues Prequel)

IN THE BEGINNING...

They told them they were evil.
They told them they were possessed by demons.
They told them that darkness ran in their veins.

Holy Innocents Home for Children is a haven for orphaned boys who have nothing and no one. The priests watch over them, educate them, raise them in the family of the church.

Except for some.

Seven of the orphans are no ordinary boys. They attract the attention of the priests for their acts of violence, of bloodlust. The priests realize these boys are drawn to the darkness.

And the priests are no ordinary priests. They are the Brethren, a secret sect who believe themselves on a divine mission to seek out evil in the boys in their care. Seek it out, and then drive it out.

The seven have fallen from God’s grace. And the Brethren will cleanse their blackened souls…

Dark Contemporary Romance novella. Contains sexual situations, violence, sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and topics some may find triggering. Recommended for age 18 years and up.

Excerpt

Joseph watched helplessly as James moved from his place against the far wall toward a boy on a chair on the opposite side of the room. A boy who had slim knives embedded in his arms and legs—a human pin cushion.
Joseph shivered as he recalled his brother’s expression a moment ago as he’d sat and stared at the knives he had sliced into the boy’s flesh. James, the sadistic voyeur of his own work. Joseph’s nervous eyes landed on his brother’s target. The boy was bound with ropes, and a washcloth was stuffed into his mouth, silencing his cries.
Luke.
Fear flooded Joseph’s body. Luke, the boy who had been intent on bullying James since the age of eight. The boy who would spit at James’s feet when they walked by. The boy who call him weird, a goth, a psychopath who rarely spoke. His taunts were endless. Joseph didn’t think the verbal bullets had ever hit their target . . . until he’d found a pad of paper hidden underneath James’s bed. A pad of paper showing in graphic detail what James wanted to do to Luke.
Tie him up.
Cut his flesh.
Exsanguinate his body.
Then drink the blood down.
“They’re just fantasy, right?” Joseph asked James when he returned from detention. Joseph held up the drawings. Page after page of pain and despair and cruelty.
James walked slowly to Joseph and ran his hand down the open page of the pad, delicately running his fingertip over the pencil image of Luke’s slit throat. “It’s a promise,” James said, with no shame in his voice. “Each page is what will happen to Luke.” James finally met his older brother’s eyes. “I’m just waiting for the perfect time.”
From that day on Joseph made sure Luke never got too close to James, for fear of what his younger brother would do. Because Joseph believed every word his brother had said.
The truth was, Joseph knew that someday, if he wasn’t stopped, James would do something so terrible he wouldn’t be able to come back from it.
And Joseph had no idea how to cure James. He didn’t know how to heal his little brother of the wretchedness that had lodged itself into his soul. He prayed for a miracle he knew would never come.
Joseph’s heart pounded as James held up another knife. His brother’s torso was bare, the scars from his frequent self-mutilation clear to see, white roads of flesh mapping the veins that ran under his skin. Veins that carried the blood James so desperately craved; nightly, once safe in their room, he would slice them open and lick the falling drops as they ran in crimson rivulets down his arms.
Joseph thrashed on the bed, fighting the binds James must have placed him in while he slept. “James, listen to me,” Joseph said as he helplessly watched his brother slowly push his blade into Luke’s shoulder. Luke’s chair almost fell as he screamed into the washcloth, the fabric absorbing his cry. But James didn’t even flinch. Joseph’s stomach clenched when the blood started to pour from Luke’s shoulder as James carefully extracted the blade.
Eleven. That’s all James was. Eleven years old, yet thought only of blood . . . worse, even . . . thought only about the consumption of blood.

Not Having It All- new release

NEW RELEASE

Not Having It All blurb

Neuroscientist Bea Hudson fears she is a bad mother and that her career will be thwarted by family life. When her husband suspects Bea of having an affair with her best friend, a chain of events is triggered, leading to a crisis in Bea’s life.

Bea Hudson, a neuropsychologist living in Godalming, is struggling to cope with the challenging behaviour of her obsessive husband Kurt and their disruptive four-year-old daughter Fran. On top of this, her boss is pressuring her to get results from her research. Bea has her work cut out.

Things come to a head when Kurt goes away on an extended business assignment. While sacking staff and drinking heavily, Kurt’s insecurities run amok and he becomes convinced that Bea’s close friend Madeleine is seducing his wife and unduly influencing his daughter.

Meanwhile, childless artist Madeleine sees her friend torn between the demands of work and offers to help with Fran. But when she reveals a startling desire to her unsympathetic therapist Mr Rowley, he advises her to focus on the attention of Colin, a man she met in a lift.

Can Bea survive the demands of her career and the turmoil in her marriage without having a breakdown? Can Madeleine survive Kurt’s anger and find happiness with Colin? And can love survive marriage, middle-age, alcohol and ambition?

Not Having It All is about a scientist torn between her stalling career and the demands of her family. With themes of trust, deception and obsession, it is a mercilessly playful take on modern friendships, relationships and family life.

MY REVIEW
I’m not even sure why I decided to read this book. Usually I don’t read stories that could make me a laugh. I know that’s strange but I found myself not impressed by a few I tried. However this gem has changed my mind and I’ll be giving others a try.

Bea has a hectic life. She tries her hardest to be a perfect mum and wife yet nothing goes right.

This story has some fabulous secondary characters that add so much to the story.

Not Having It All is a well written story with a good storyline. The humour running through is enjoyable. Looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Review: A Debt Owed

A Debt Owed A Debt Owed by Clarissa Wild
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve been reading this authors books for about five years. Each book I think is her best yet and then she writes a story that blows my mind....again. A Debt Owed is another outstanding read by this author.

Easton has always wanted Charlotte and he has proven that he will do anything to have her. Charlotte is sassy and gives as good as she gets.

I absolutely loved both of these characters.

The ending blew my mind and I can’t wait to read more...soon pretty please.

Review: A Summer to Remember

A Summer to Remember A Summer to Remember by Sue Moorcroft
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Can’t believe this is my first read by this author. It will certainly not be my last.

Clancy needed a fresh start and found herself in Nelsons Bar. Sadly her past creeps up on her and the locals don’t trust her. Talk about judging a person before getting to know them...ggrrr.

As I sit here writing this review I’ve got a smile on my face. It’s just one of those kinda reads.

This is a very quick enjoyable read. An ideal refreshing beach read. Highly recommend this gem.

Review: Stolen

Stolen Stolen by Paul Finch
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book three in the DC Lucy Clayburn series. I do believe it would have been better if I had have read the previous books. However I really enjoyed this story so will go back and read the previous books.

DC Lucy Clayburn has her hands full. She’s investigating the disappearance of dogs and then people start going mix. Throw into the equation that DC Lucy has a big gangster for her dad.

Brilliant read. I will say it took me a while to get my head around the characters but the storyline was so good it was worth it.

I can’t wait to read the previous books as Lucy is a very likeable and intriguing character. Definitely recommend this if you like police procedural reads.

Review: Little Girls Sleeping

Little Girls Sleeping Little Girls Sleeping by Jennifer Chase
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

This is a new to me author and I’ll certainly be looking to read more from her as this was a great read.

Katie Scott has just returned from serving in Afghanistan. She decides to work in admin at her uncles a sheriffs office.

Katie is drawn to a cold case of a missing girl Chelsea. She doesn’t realise the can of worms she’s about to open.

I thought this was a great read that had me on the edge of my seat. I’m glad to say I dint guess who the killer was so that’s a big positive.

I’ll certainly be reading more from this author in the future. Highly recommend this read.

Review: Greed

Greed Greed by Ker Dukey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I actually didn’t want to read this as it’s the end of a brilliant series. I just didn’t want it to end. However once I started I didn’t put it down until I had finished..unputdownable.

We now get Micah’s story in Greed. It exceeded my expectations.

These two authors sure know how to write an unforgettable story. It’s exactly what this series needed...to end on a high.

Start with book one and be prepared for a rollercoaster of a story with this series.

Malignus Malignus by Dani René
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow just wow. In all honestly I’m not gonna give this the review it deserves.

This author delved into the darkness with Trenton and Ginnies story and she did it so well.

Reading this is like watching tv behind a cushion. Your afraid of what’s gonna come next but you can’t pull your eyes away.

Malignus is not a story for everyone so heed the warnings. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to read more of the Inferno world.

Written with Regret - blog tour

BLOG TOUR

Written With Regret, the first in an all-new emotional duet from USA Todaybestselling author Aly Martinez, is available now!

Every little girl dreams of the fairytale. The one where the white knight rushes in to save her from the clutches of evil. They fall in love, have babies, and live happily ever after.

By that definition, my life should have been a fairytale too.

When I was eight years old, Caven Hunt saved me from the worst kind of evil to walk the Earth. It didn’t matter that I was a kid. I fell in love with him all the same.

But that was where my fairytale ended.

Years later, a one-night stand during the darkest time imaginable gave us a little girl. It was nothing compared to the pitch black that consumed me when I was forced to leave her with Caven for good.

At the end of every fairytale, the happily-ever-after is the one thing that remains consistent. It wasn’t going to be mine, but there hadn’t been a night that passed where I hadn’t prayed that it would be hers.

I owed Caven my life.
However, I owed that innocent child more.
And that included ripping the heart from my chest and facing her father again.

MY REVIEW
I seriously need to read more from this author. This was oh so good. I’ve read a previous duet by this author so when I saw she was writing another duet I couldn’t resist. I wasn’t disappointed.

Written with Regret is an awesome read. It’s an intense amazing story that I couldn’t get enough of. I read this in one sitting.

The ending gee whizz. I hope we don’t wait too long for book two. At least it gives me an excuse to read this again before I jump into book two. YES it’s that kinda read.

Pre-order the stunning conclusion, Written With You, today!
